Waste is a major challenge to cities across the world, both in context of its creation and management and particularly so to a developing one in India, where waste is also synonymous with socio-economic issues and environmental injustice more exacerbated.
This 2-part series breaks down waste to its finer components, the reasons for its continued existence despite being a major health hazard, and finally analyzes solutions proposed by both citizenry as well as government authorities.
