The lower ranges of the Himalayas, also known as the Shivaliks are abundant in natural and cultural heritage. I have been working on multiple projects here, including a first-of-its kind documentary tracing the journey of Jim Corbett (famed hunter-turned-conservationist) as he set out to put an end to a man-eating tiger that terrorized the inhabitants of a large tract of forest on the easternmost extreme of India where it meets Nepal.
As of now, the stories that I am working on here, provide often ignored but important perspectives on conservation and sustainability which are relevant to the times we live in. Having a house in this picturesque landscape that has temperate weather throughout the year only helps.
